Four Protective Services students recently passed their state practical and written exams to become certified as Pennsylvania Emergency Medical Technicians. These students worked very hard to achieve this certification.
The course consisted of over 200 hours of theory and lab work held at North Montco Technical Career Center. In addition, students participated in over 200 hours of clinical work which takes place at various ambulance stationbs. Students applied their skills and knowledge to directly care for patients while on the ambulance for various types of situations. Each student was also required to complete a minimum of 12 documented direct patient care calls.
