Earlier this month, 34 NMTCC students participated in a SkillsUSA Leadership Conference along with students from eight other area technical schools. During the three day conference, the students had the opportunity to participate in various leadership workshops with topics ranging from public speaking and critical thinking to learning how to run effective meetings.
In addition to the leadership workshops, the students participated in team building activities. They won first place when they worked together and created a NMTCC school cheer. They also earned the second place award for their overall leadership skills.
We are proud of our students and are looking forward to watching them use their new skills as leaders in the NMTCC community.
